Polyurethane

KTR uses Polyurethane in the injection process as well as in the gravitation process.

The use of Polyurethane in this process has got a lot of advantages.

In contrast to firm components, which are manufactured to moulds by injection or pressing, the liquid components of the liquid Polyurethane can be manufactured to very complicated parts with the aid of easily built and low cost moulds. With this method we can found parts, without using chemical additives , to either voluminous or tiny little parts, which, after a relatively short period of chemical reaction time can be released from the mould and afterwards reach their optimum form and condition by being brought to the right temperature.

By this method we are able - with the aid of a specific measuring out of the necessary components - to define a concrete spectrum, such as Shore hardness for instance.

The permanent development of the using possibilities in all sorts of technical areas lead to a revolution regarding the product variety and also to a substitution of a lot of the conventional materials and parts.

The finish of Polyurethane injection process (please see our detailed information in the section "Plastic materials") has great advantages for non - voluminous products which are required in bigger series.
